Office Remodel — Brandon, MS (2026)

This commercial office remodel in Brandon, MS transformed a dated workspace into a modern, functional environment — featuring wide-plank white oak hardwood floors, custom built-in shelving, and coordinated office furniture selected for the client's workflow. The client's goal was to convert an underutilized, worn-out back office into a professional workspace that would support daily productivity and impress visiting clients. The project scope included demolition of old carpet and cabinetry, installation of new hardwood flooring throughout, construction of custom built-in bookshelves and storage cabinets, fresh paint from ceiling to baseboards, and procurement and arrangement of a coordinated office furniture suite. Materials were selected for both durability and aesthetics. The flooring is wide-plank white oak (3-inch boards) with a natural matte finish — chosen for its hardness rating and ability to handle rolling office chairs without denting. Custom cabinetry was built on-site from maple plywood with a satin espresso stain on the doors and drawer fronts, matching the shelving trim. Walls were painted in Sherwin-Williams Agreeable Gray (SW 7029), a warm neutral that complements the wood tones and keeps the space feeling open. The ceiling was finished in Sherwin-Williams Pure White (SW 7005) for crisp contrast. Baseboards and trim were painted in the same Pure White semi-gloss for a clean, coordinated finish. One of the main challenges was the existing floor, which had significant unevenness from years of settling. We addressed this by leveling the subfloor with self-leveling compound before installing the hardwood, ensuring a seamless finish with no squeaks or flex. A second challenge was integrating the built-in shelving around an existing HVAC return vent — we custom-framed around the vent to maintain airflow while keeping the shelving flush to the wall. The project was completed in Speers Valley, a growing community just outside Brandon, MS. The remodel took approximately three weeks from demolition to final furniture placement, wrapping up on schedule in early May 2026. The client now has a bright, organized office space that supports their daily operations and presents a polished, professional image to every visitor who walks through the door.
